How we review
We look for the choice that best fits a real home and a real routine — not the product with the longest specification sheet.
1. Define the job
We start with who the product is for, the problem it should solve and the situations where it will not help.
2. Build the evidence
Depending on the guide, evidence may include hands-on use, expert input, manufacturer documentation, owner manuals, safety information, repair support, independent reporting and verified customer patterns.
3. Separate research types
Hands-on tested means Lorvei used the product directly. Expert researched means qualified specialist evidence shaped the assessment. Editorially researched means the recommendation is based on documented sources without claiming physical testing.
4. Explain trade-offs
We publish what we like, what we do not, who should buy, who should skip and what we would consider instead.
5. Keep it current
Guides carry an updated date. Material product changes, availability, recalls or better alternatives can trigger a review. Prices are snapshots and should be checked with the retailer.
